How the AI room editor works

Three steps, and you decide what changes.

1

Upload a room photo and paint the area to change

Use the brush on a sofa, a wall, a floor, a corner that needs a lamp — anything. Undo, redo and an eraser let you fix the selection before you spend credits.

2

Say what should be there, or attach a reference

Write one short note ("walnut plank floor", "add a reading chair") or attach a photo of the exact item. You can use both.

3

Get the edit, then keep going

The new area is blended into your original photo. Happy with it? Keep editing the result to change the next area — or download it.

What you can change

Swap furniture

Paint the old sofa, attach a photo of the one you are considering, and see it in your own room.

Recolor or restyle a piece

Change a sofa, cabinet or wall colour and finish without repainting the whole scene.

Change a material

Try a different floor, countertop or backsplash inside the area you paint.

Add something new

Paint an empty corner and describe what belongs there — a plant, a lamp, a rug.

What we promise — and what to expect

Your photo stays yours outside the selection

The rest of your photo is copied back from the original

The AI model repaints the full frame internally, so we paste only your painted area onto your untouched photo. Outside the selection, the pixels are yours.

Soft edges, not a cut-out

The border of your selection is blended over a few pixels so the change sits in the room instead of looking pasted on.

One area at a time, by design

Each edit targets a single selection. To change several areas, keep editing the result — every step starts from the previous image.

Good to know
  • If the new item should cast a shadow or reflection outside your selection, paint a little beyond the item so there is room for it.
  • A reference photo guides the look, shape and material of the item. Small details such as exact trims or stitching may differ.
  • Edits usually take about a minute. If one fails, the credits are refunded automatically.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI room editor?

It lets you change part of a room photo with AI instead of regenerating the whole room. You paint the area you want to change, describe the result or attach a reference photo, and only that area is edited.

How is this different from redesigning a whole room?

A room redesign restyles everything at once. The region editor keeps your photo as it is and changes only the part you painted, which is what you want when you like the room but not one piece of it.

Will the rest of my photo change?

No. After the AI produces its version, we copy only your painted area onto your original photo. Everything outside the selection stays your original pixels, with a soft blend along the selection edge.

Can I use a reference image?

Yes. Attach one photo of the item you want — for example a product photo of a sofa or a light fixture — and the painted area is edited to match it. You can also add a short note to guide placement or colour.

Can I edit more than one area?

Each edit works on one selection. After it finishes, choose "Keep editing this result" to paint the next area on top of the new image.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

Each edit costs 4 credits and usually takes about a minute. If an edit fails, the credits are refunded automatically. You need to be signed in to use it.

Which photos work best?

Eye-level, well-lit JPG, PNG or WebP photos up to 20 MB. Paint the whole object you want changed, including its edges, for the cleanest blend.

Can I use edited photos in a real estate listing?

Many listing platforms and MLS boards require you to disclose digitally altered photos and forbid hiding defects. Check your local rules and keep the original photo on file.
